Crisis Committee Experiencing Chaos

Breaking news:

An asteroid heading to earth has split in half after the Chinese government launched 100 nuclear warheads at the asteroid. Due to the Chinese governments poor targeting systems, only 1 warhead hit the asteroid and instead of atomising the entire asteroid it split it in 1/2 with 1 end destroying a farm in Slovenia and 1 end killing over 10 million people in Beijing (1/2 the population). Mass protests erupted in all major countries and governments are in disarray. Protests are happening as people are mad at the poor government response to this crisis. Initial reactions from the international community varied. Japan wanted to use China's moment of weakness to invade Beijing. Japan was also a big proponent on the use human rights violations to help suppress protests. China wanted to launch a cyber attack on the US. Slovenia wanted to create a coalition to help disperse medical aid to effected civilians and launch a team of scientists to help discover if the green glow from the asteroid is radioactive.

This all stopped as the UNSC was interrupted by an alien broadcast threatening war against Earth. Again, reactions varied as France wanted to build underground bunkers, as well to send their entire population underground before nuking their own country. Korea, China and Vatican City have all decided to assimilate themselves with the galactic federation.

Lastly, unicorns are real as they are mutated out of the asteroid.

It is now unknown what will happen to the rest of the world.
